Outbound At Point Of Rocks

Description

This Victorian station at Point Of Rocks, Maryland was completed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) in 1876. It was designed by E. Francis Baldwin and it marks the Junction between the Metropolitan Subdivision and the Old Main Line Subdivision. Today, it still serves as a station now serving MARC commuters. Although the Baltimore and Ohio is no more, replaced by CSX, this beautiful structure still stands as one of B&O's signature landmarks. It is also one of the most famous train watching locations as well as the subject of many railroad photographs. F9PH locomotive number 83 heads up this evening's run of MARC's Blue Ridge Express as it barells past the Point Of Rocks Station.

This was drawn completely from common office ball point pens and highlighters.

This is lovely work, Ozzy, all the more so considering the medium you use. I have never seen this technique developed to such a high degree and used to such good effect before. Also the notes to each image make great reading and are inproving my knowledge of American railways, keep them coming. I have only a handful of favourites but one of your images will be joining them.
